On July 17, 2007, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of 220 units of Sleeping Beauty Crown and Cinderella Star Earring Sets, sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores. The CPSC's reason: "the recalled metal earring sets contain high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects".
