The Friendly All American Wal-Mart

Here is something we all should think about the next time we are in Montrose, that beacon of Americana. Something to ponder as we shine the "We are proud to be American" bumper stickers on our most anti-American status symbol of all foreign made vehicles; And head into the local Wal-Mart: According to economist Robert Scott of the Economic and Social Research Institute, “trade flows between Wal-Mart and China displaced nearly 200,000 U.S. jobs between 2001 and 2006, when the retail giant accounted for 11% of the growth of the total U.S. trade deficit with China”.
